March 18, 2003 Dr. Ronald M. Lindsay Joins AnVil, Inc. Board of Directors Pioneer in life sciences discovery adds longtime biotech executive and researcher to directorship. Burlington, MA - March 18, 2003 - AnVil, Inc., a pioneer in life sciences discovery, today announced that Ronald M. Lindsay, Ph.D. has joined its Board of Directors. Dr. Lindsay, a longtime biotech executive and entrepeneur who currently serves as Chief Scientific Officer and Vice President of R&D at diaDexus, Inc. of San Francisco, adds nearly 25 years of research and managerial experience to AnVil's board. In his career, Dr. Lindsay has managed all aspects of life science R&D from genomics and proteomics discovery and preclinical R&D, to moving product candidates into clinical trials. He has in-depth expertise in neuroscience, as well as recent experience in inflammation and cancer. For nearly a decade, Dr. Lindsay held the post of Vice President, Neurobiology for Tarrytown, New York-based Regeneron Pharmaceuticals, Inc. Before embarking on his private sector biotech career, Dr. Lindsay was Head of Cell Biology at the Sandoz Institute for Medical Research, University College, London, in the UK. Prior to that, he held the post of Staff Scientist, Medical Research Council Lab, Neurobiology, at the National Institute of Medical Research, Mill Hill, London, UK.
