January 07, 2003 AnVil Adds Senior Medical Informaticist to Expert Staff Pioneer in life sciences discovery announces hire of leading medical analytics expert Burlington, MA - January 7, 2003 - Adding to its team of informatics, medical and life sciences experts, AnVil, Inc., a pioneer in life sciences discovery, today announced the hire of Dr. Steven A. Henry, MD, MS, as Senior Medical Informaticist. Dr. Henry has a long and distinguished career as a practicing physician and researcher, including work in bioinformatics, pharmacogenomics, genetic modeling, and writing of Phase I, II, and IV Protocols. In his medical practice, he specialized in the care of HIV management and was investigator in Phase III clinical trials of anti-HIV drugs. As Project Leader for analysis of clinical pharmacology and genotype data at GlaxoSmithKline, Dr. Henry provided medical and statistical expertise in creating genetic database systems for clinical research, as well as providing medical expertise in creating research studies on autoimmune and neurological diseases. He served as Head of Medical Services at Clinical Psychiatric Community Hospital in Parkwood, Georgia, and Medical Director of Student Services at Georgia State University. He was also Medical/Clinical Project Manager for FirstGenetic Trust.
