John Hotchkiss Joins AnVil
Informatics as Chief Technology Officer
Lowell, MA — AnVil Informatics,
Inc., a provider of in silico drug discovery services,
has announced the appointment of John Hotchkiss
to Chief Technology Officer. Hotchkiss brings
an extensive background in managing technology
for the life sciences, Internet, engineering,
and consumer computing industries.

Chief Executive Officer of AnVil Informatics.

applying our expertise in biology, chemistry,

Prior to joining AnVil, Mr. Hotchkiss was Chief
Technology Officer at ActiveCyte, Inc., and Vice
President, Global Engineering at Terra Lycos (previously
Lycos, Inc.). He also served in technology and
engineering management positions at Harlequin,
Inc., Apple Computer's Advanced Technology Group,
Symbolics, Inc., Lisp Machines, Inc., and Itek
Optical Systems.
Hotchkiss manages AnVil's highly
experienced team of scientists, informatics and
data visualization specialists, and data miners
who are expert at navigating large, high dimensional
data sets. He reports to Dr. Richard Gill and
is responsible for all science and technology
development, including data mining activities
and commercial development of AnVil's technology
platform.
Mr. Hotchkiss received his
B.A. cum laude from Harvard University.
