AnVil Informatics, Inc., is a data exploration company. We are providing bioinformatics data mining, analysis and visualization services to the leading pharmaceutical, biotechnology and genomics companies. In the delivery of our services, we use proprietary bioinformatics software tools, customized to our client needs and requirements. In addition, we will be developing our custom software tools for use in both an OEM and an ASP business model. We are looking for a team player that thrives in a start-up environment and is a hands-on leader in software development. This individual will lead the further development of our data mining, analysis and visualization software tools, for use in the delivery of our services, as well as for use in our OEM and ASP models. Position requires a dedicated software development professional with skills and experience in C++, Perl and a strong commitment to the design of quality software within a small team development environment.

The ideal candidate would have also Data Mining, Visualization, Bioinformatics and Java application experience. Skills in formal requirements documentation, use of case and UML tools are a plus.

Required Skills: Minimum 2 years software design/development experience BS in CS/EE or equivalent Experience in C++, Perl SQL and RDBMS experience Unix/Linux and WinNT/Win98 experience The ability to work with customers to translate abstract requirements into a concrete specification, then into an engineered solution in code.
