Dr. Hoffman has over 25 years of computer software and hardware experiences. His latest research focuses on Visualization and Data Mining in the bioinformatics field, such as gene expression, chemical fingerprints, etc. Over the years, Dr. Hoffman developed a broad range of technical expertise in the software and communications area, including virtual reality visualization and multi-media environment set-up, network security software and interactive website development, pattern recognition and artificial intelligent, networking and communications.

Before joining AnVil, Dr. Hoffman was the president at System Solutions, an information technology consulting firm. He also served as Director of Engineering at Clinical Data Inc. Dr. Hoffman taught computer courses in several New England Universities and Colleges and held various key R&D positions at I.O.C.S., GRI Computer Corporation, Sanders Associates and etc.

Dr. Hoffman received his Sc.D in computer science from University of Massachusetts Lowell, M.S. from Northeastern University and his B.S. from University of Connecticut.
