Mr. D'Souza's career includes experience in management, consulting and information technology for the biomedical, pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries; as well as related government regulatory agencies. Mr. D'Souza is a Managing Director with Mason Wells, a leading midwestern private equity firm, based in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. He is a general partner of the Mason Wells Biomedical Fund I, which is an early stage venture capital fund, focused on the biomedical industry. The fund will invest in biotechnology, medical device and biomedical information technology companies.
Mr. D'Souza was the President and CEO of a biomedical software company, providing software products and services for the pharmaceutical, biotechnology and medical device communities worldwide. Mr. D'Souza was a Senior Program Manager with Booz-Allen & Hamilton Inc., an international management and technology consulting firm, leading a practice focussing on the supplier side of health care. He played a key role on several large contracts at the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and leading pharmaceutical companies.
Prior to that, Mr. D'Souza was the Director of Information Systems for McKesson/HBOC BioServices Corporation, a professional services firm providing specialized support for bio-medical research and development to government agencies, pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies. Mr. D'Souza began his career as a systems analyst with a boutique firm specializing in bioinformatics.
Mr. D'Souza received his Master of Business Administration from George Washington University, Washington D.C., with a concentration in Systems Theory and Cybernetics; and a Bachelor of Science in Engineering from Catholic University of America, Washington D.C., majoring in Computer Science and Electrical Engineering.
