Haim Levkowitz, Ph.D.

Dr. Haim Levkowitz is Associate Professor of Computer Science at the University of Massachusetts Lowell, and Managing Partner at HyperGROWTH Ventures LLC of Andover, Massachusetts. Dr. Levkowitz has over 17 years of academic research and teaching experience. At UMass Lowell, his teaching and research have focused on advanced Internet and Web technologies, computer graphics, and visualization and information presentation. He has just recently established a new Web laboratory. At HyperGROWTH Haim leads high-tech venture investments and development. Haim is an internationally renowned authority on color graphics and visualization.

He is the author of Color Theory and Modeling for Computer Graphics, Visualization, and Multimedia Applications (Kluwer Academic Publishers, 1997), co-editor of Perceptual Issues in Visualization (Springer Verlag, 1995), and author or co-author of over 30 other scientific publications. During Dr. Levkowitz's close to three decades of experience in the computer and electronics industry, he was actively involved in the installation of the first Israeli Air Force operations computer communications network and the installation of the first Automatic Teller Machines network in Israel. Dr. Levkowitz was also the owner/operator of three electronics businesses.
